I’m Cara Thomas, a dog trainer and AKC Canine Good Citizen Approved Evaluator based in the Port Orange / Edgewater / Oak Hill / New Smyrna Beach, Florida area. I manage Dog Dayz Inn, a daycare and boarding facility where I do most of my training, and I’ve been working with dogs for four years.

My approach is simple: I teach dog parents to truly understand their dog so they can continue training long after our sessions end. I prioritize clear communication, realistic skills you can use every day, and positive, science-backed methods that respect each dog’s needs.

Services I offer include puppy and adult basic obedience, CGC evaluation preparation and testing, and customized plans for specific challenges. I work one-on-one, in-clinic at Dog Dayz Inn, and offer follow-up support so progress sticks.
